PALMOILMAGAZINE, PADANG LAWAS – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has donated two school buses to YADIKA Elementary and Junior High School located at Bukit Harapan Oil Palm Plantation owned by PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) in North Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra, on Friday (8/5/2026).
The initiative was part of a collaboration between BRI’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program and Agrinas Palma Nusantara, aimed at improving access to education and enhancing transportation safety for students in plantation areas.
The symbolic handover ceremony was attended by Head of BRI Sibuhuan Branch Office Dedi Harpian, Principal of YADIKA School Lamro Sitanggang, Regional Head (RH) 2 North Sumatra Major General (Ret.) Nunu Nugraha, TJSL General Manager Gatut Mukti, as well as the Simangambat subdistrict head, community leaders, traditional leaders, religious figures, village heads, and local hamlet chiefs.

In his remarks, Major General (Ret.) Nunu Nugraha expressed appreciation for the assistance, describing it as a concrete example of collaboration between Agrinas Palma Nusantara and BRI in supporting the education sector, particularly student mobility and safety.
“As the regional leader, I would like to express my gratitude. Agrinas Palma Nusantara is committed to delivering benefits to the community wherever we operate. We hope this assistance will support teaching and learning activities through safe and comfortable transportation,” he said in a statement received by Palmoilmagazine.com on Saturday (9/5).
Meanwhile, YADIKA School Principal Lamro Sitanggang stated that the buses would greatly support school operations, especially in improving student mobility and transportation safety.

“We sincerely appreciate the attention and support provided by Agrinas Palma Nusantara and BRI. This assistance is highly beneficial for both the school and our students,” he said.
The handover ceremony took place in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, marked by a ribbon-cutting procession and the symbolic transfer of the bus keys to the school representatives. The event was witnessed by students, teachers, and employees of Agrinas Palma Nusantara.
