PALMOILMAGAZINE, ROKAN HULU, INDONESIA — PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) is supporting efforts to accelerate stunting reduction in Rokan Hulu, Riau, through a corporate social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program focused on improving maternal and child nutrition and strengthening community health.

The initiative comes as Riau continues to face challenges in reducing stunting. Data from the 2024 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), cited by the Riau Provincial Health Office, put the province’s stunting prevalence at 20.1%.

At the district level, data recorded and reported through the Ministry of Health’s Sigizi Kesga application for the second quarter of 2026 showed 535 cases of stunting among children under five in Rokan Hulu.

The figures underscore the need for stronger cross-sector cooperation to improve access to nutrition and strengthen early prevention efforts for mothers and children.

Agrinas Palma Nusantara plans to implement its stunting-reduction program across four Riau districts: Indragiri Hilir, Indragiri Hulu, Rokan Hilir and Rokan Hulu. The program will be delivered through two local community health centers, or puskesmas, in each district, bringing the total number of participating health centers to eight.
