Riau’s plasma smallholder FFB prices declined across all plantation age groups as average CPO and palm kernel prices used in the provincial pricing formula fell from the previous period.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) produced by plasma oil palm smallholders in Riau Province fell again for the Sept. 23–29, 2026 period, with the highest price set at IDR 3,948.70 per kg for nine-year-old palms.
The price was IDR 27.86 per kg lower than the previous period, when the price stood at IDR 3,976.56 per kg.

The latest price determination was issued by the Riau Provincial Oil Palm FFB Price Determination Team and applies from Wednesday through Tuesday, Sept. 23–29. Prices declined across all plantation age groups compared with the Sept. 16–22 period.
One factor behind the decline was weaker prices for the commodities used in the FFB pricing formula. The average CPO price was set at IDR 15,670.35 per kg, while the average palm kernel price fell to IDR 13,572.09 per kg.
According to data from the Riau Provincial Oil Palm FFB Price Determination Team, the K Index was set at 93.93% for the period. The shell price was set at IDR 15.45 per kg, while indirect processing costs, or Biaya Olah Tidak Langsung (BOTL), stood at 1.24%.

Compared with the Sept. 16–22 period, the average CPO price declined from IDR 15,784.50 per kg to IDR 15,670.35 per kg. The average palm kernel price also fell from IDR 13,976.50 per kg to IDR 13,572.09 per kg.

Under the latest determination, the highest plasma smallholder FFB price in Riau for Sept. 23–29 was IDR 3,948.70 per kg for nine-year-old palms, while the lowest was IDR 3,422.32 per kg for 30-year-old palms. (P3)
