PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – A total of 1,870 companies engaged in the palm oil plantation sector have taken part in self-reporting efforts aimed at bolstering and enhancing governance within the industry. This initiative was carried out through the utilization of the Sistem Informasi Perizinan Perkebunan (Siperibun) platform.
Lauding the program, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the Coordinator Minister for Maritime and Investment, expressed his appreciation and noted that the actions taken by these companies underscore their dedication to fostering transparency and compliance. These endeavors align with the government’s ongoing efforts to advance palm oil governance.
The Taskforce of Improving Palm Oil Governance and Optimizing The Revenue that the government established would monitor palm oil plantations development in Indonesia. The taskforce implements self-reporting through Siperibun.

It would deliver chances for the companies to actively report and renew every information about their palm oil governance. The data gathered would be from 3 July to 3 August 2023. The data would be the basic evaluation for the next report.
“Data uploaded through self-reporting would help the government to monitor and escalate palm oil industries in Indonesia,” Pandjaitan said, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from Antara, Friday (4/8/2023).
He also appreciated the companies for taking part and delivering their accurate and complete information through Siperibun.
Some documents to upload and fulfill by the company in the application are location permit, plantation business permit, business rights, and spatial maps and should be uploaded to the application. Information about plantation realization would be important part that the company should inform. (T2)
