PALMOILMAGAZINE, KUALA KAPUAS — Ardiansah, Speaker of the Kapuas Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), has expressed his full support for the development of palm oil investments in the region. He emphasized that the palm oil industry plays a strategic role in driving local economic growth and improving community welfare, particularly in rural areas.
“The palm oil plantation sector is vital for job creation and accelerating regional development,” Ardiansah said, as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com from Antara on Sunday (April 13, 2025).
A politician from the Golkar Party, Ardiansah added that palm oil investments not only offer direct economic benefits but also help advance infrastructure development. “Through these investments, infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and public facilities can be built or upgraded,” he noted.

Despite his support, Ardiansah stressed the importance of compliance with regulations and environmental responsibility. He reminded stakeholders that economic development must go hand in hand with environmental conservation.
“Palm oil plantations are indeed important for the local economy, but we must ensure that they are managed sustainably and without harming the environment,” he asserted.
Stronger Synergy and CSR Urged
Ardiansah also called on all stakeholders—including local government, companies, and communities—to foster stronger collaboration in creating a conducive investment climate. He believes that harmonious cooperation is key to sustainable development in Kapuas Regency.
He further encouraged palm oil companies operating in the region to become more active in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and economic empowerment for surrounding communities.
As a newly re-elected representative from the Kapuas III electoral district—which includes the sub-districts of Timpah, Kapuas Tengah, Kapuas Hulu, Mandau Talawang, and Pasak Talawang—Ardiansah reaffirmed his commitment to advancing policies that promote regional development and public welfare. (P2)
