Agrinas Palma Nusantara’s TJSL program combines student nutrition support, educational assistance and affordable basic goods for communities around its Riau 4 plantation operations.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, ROKAN HULU, INDONESIA — PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), through its Environmental and Social Responsibility (TJSL) program, has launched a Nutrition Program, provided books and laptops to support students’ learning activities, and organized a People’s Market for communities around its Riau 4 plantation area in Rokan Hulu, Riau.
The activities, held at SD KITA YADIKA Batang Kumu I in Rokan Hulu, benefited communities in the Rantau Kasai, Tambusai Timur, Batang Kumu I and Batang Kumu II plantation areas.

The event was attended by Agrinas Palma Nusantara’s Head of Public Relations and TJSL Division M. Gatut Mukti, Riau 4 Regional Head of Operations Hillarius Manurung, local officials, teachers, students and company employees.
The programs are part of the company’s commitment to creating tangible benefits for communities surrounding its operations, particularly through nutrition support, education and assistance with basic needs.
The Nutrition Program is designed to help meet students’ dietary needs and support their health, concentration and enthusiasm for learning.

Alongside the nutrition initiative, Agrinas Palma Nusantara distributed reading books and laptops to schools and students. The assistance is intended to expand access to reading materials while encouraging the use of technology in education.
Gatut Mukti said the activities form part of the company’s TJSL program, with a focus on improving nutrition and education.
“This program is one of the forms of TJSL implementation by PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), particularly in supporting nutrition and improving the quality of education. We hope the Nutrition Program, along with the books and laptops, can help create a healthier and more comfortable learning environment that supports students’ development,” Gatut said in a statement received by PalmOilMagazine on Sunday (September 6, 2026).

He added that Agrinas Palma Nusantara would continue developing programs that respond to the needs of communities around its operational areas.
“Through our TJSL programs, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) will continue to strive to create positive and sustainable benefits for communities. We want the company’s presence to grow together with the community and contribute to improving quality of life and human resources,” he said.
As part of the same initiative, the company also organized a People’s Market for communities around the plantations. The program was aimed at helping residents obtain essential goods more easily and at affordable prices.

The People’s Market also reflects the company’s efforts to respond to local socioeconomic conditions while strengthening engagement with communities around its operations.
Hillarius Manurung, Regional Head of Operations for Riau 4 at PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), said the activities were designed to deliver direct and sustainable benefits to communities.
He also emphasized that the successful implementation of the programs depended on cooperation among various stakeholders.

The programs across the Rantau Kasai, Tambusai Timur, Batang Kumu I and Batang Kumu II plantation areas are also expected to strengthen relations among the company, schools, communities, local government and other stakeholders.
Agrinas Palma Nusantara said its presence should generate value beyond its core plantation operations by implementing social programs that address the needs of surrounding communities.
