Sustainable Palm Oil Batik Production
The people of Laweyan has been initiating to process sustainable batik, such as, responsibly process the waste with waste management installation in the society.
Now they would use environmental product as the material to do batik business. The initiation to use certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) in RSPO certificate would be new mainstay for Laweyan people. Alfa thought, the substitution of malam with sustainable derivative products, would become part of sustainable tourism in Laweyan. For there is malam in CSPO material, it is hoped to encourage the success of batik products in the society. “We hope malam from CSPO which is applied to do batik business would be immediately realized,” Alfa hoped for.
Deputy Director Market Transformation RSPO, Mahatma Windrawan Inantha did appreciate the spirit of Laweyan people. He thought, malam in CSPO – base would be environmental and renewable product and batik would be in world class – products.
“As fast as possible. Batik using malam in CSPO – base would be applied by the people of Laweyan and would contribute to sustainable tourism in the future,” Windrawan said.
He also told, the cooperation and collaboration among the stakeholders would be the same power to get many sustainable derivative products which are environmental too in the future. (T1)
