PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, the crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) increased to Rp 11,155/kg. This marked an improvement of Rp 150/kg compared to the previous Monday’s tender, which was Rp 11,005/kg.
According to the information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, the CPO price in Belawan and Dumai was recorded at Rp 11,155/kg. Meanwhile, in Talang Duku, it was priced at Rp 11,005/kg, but during the withdrawal (WD) process, the highest bid reached Rp 10,955/kg. As for crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) in Dumai, the price was Rp 11,210/kg.
This is contrary with palm oil trade at Bursa Malaysia Derivative Exchange which got cheaper because many traders took profits after it was increasing to the highest level for the previous – four and a half months – session. It also happened for the Russia attacked vegetable oil seed – barns in Ukraine.
As quoted from Reuters, CPO price contract reference with the code FCPOc3 for October 2023 delivery at Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange got cheaper RM 22 or about 0,53% to be RM 4.142 (US$ 906,94) in the midday.
