PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was set at Rp 14,265/kg on Thursday (Feb 6, 2025), reflecting an increase of 0.81% or Rp 115/kg from Rp 14,150/kg on Wednesday (Feb 5, 2025).
According to KPBN data, the CPO prices were as follows; Belawan & Dumai: Rp 14,265/kg, Talang Duku: Rp 14,065/kg, and Teluk Bayur: Rp 14,135/kg.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Malaysian palm oil futures rose for the second consecutive session on Thursday (Feb 6, 2025), driven by concerns over declining production. However, gains were capped by weak demand from key importing countries.

The benchmark CPO futures contract (FCPOc3) for April 2025 delivery on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange increased by RM 71 per ton (1.64%), closing at RM 4,405 ($993.91) per metric ton.
Production concerns remain, as Malaysia’s CPO output is projected to decline by 13%-15% in February due to heavy rains and flooding nationwide, said Paramalingam Supramaniam, Director of Bestari Hedging Brokerage in Selangor. He also noted that the lack of demand from major markets is another key concern.
