Market participants said the rally was supported by gains in competing vegetable oils traded in Dalian and Chicago. Strength in soybean oil and palm oil futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange provided additional support for Malaysia’s palm oil market.

However, higher Malaysian palm oil inventories continued to weigh on market sentiment.

Data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), released Monday, showed that Malaysia’s palm oil stocks rose 3.32% month-on-month to 2.63 million metric tons in July 2026.
