PALMOILMAGAZINE, BALI – Head of Food Security and Agriculture, District of Seruyan, Albidinoor said that the people who live in the region got economic advantages by planting palm oil plantations.
Palm oil plantation massively develop in District of Seruyan. They delivered the positive for the people in economy.
He thought, palm oil was started being developed in 2000s. Independent smallholders also get more until they reach about 20 thousand men.

He also mentioned independent smallholders’ plantations raise many issues and it needs attention to implement sustainable cultivation. It also needs to map their plantations.
Since 2015, Abidin thought, palm oil has been sustainably cultivated by taking partners with non-government organization – Inobu or now it is known as Kaleka.
He also mentioned jurisdiction approach that has been running since 2015 always run while improving the system to get sustainable palm oil production. That is why District of Seruyan has the independent smallholders’ palm oil plantation maps.

The independent smallholders should prove that they are improving plantation permit. This is the reason why District of Seruyan cooperates with Kalka to improve sustainable practices according to Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) principles and criteria mandatorily and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) voluntarily.
