PALMOILMAGAZINE, BANJARBARU – The Head of the Livestock and Plantation Agency of South Kalimantan Province, Suparmi, announced that SISKA KU INTIP will be a priority program in the province. This initiative aims to enhance beef self-sufficiency to support food security and serve as a food pillar in Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
SISKA KU INTIP, which is short for Sistem Integrasi Kelapa Sawit-Sapi Berbasis Kemitraan Usaha Ternak Inti Plasma, is governed by the Governor of South Kalimantan Regulation Number 053 / 2021 concerning the Acceleration of Beef Self-Sufficiency.
“The program would integrate palm oil plantation and beef livestock by having partnership between the plantation companies and the smallholders,” Suparmi said in Banjarbaru, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from the official page of South Kalimantan Province, Tuesday (16/7/2024).

As the national scale – model, SISKA KU INTIP successfully encouraged beef production and population in palm oil plantation centers. The program involved private, government plantation companies as the main ones and empower plasma smallholders, livestock, and the people around as the business partners. It is hoped to prepare the province as the food pillar in IKN.
Ever since it was launched in 2021, SISKA KU INTIP got many national scale – award, such as, Tanda Kehormatan Satya Lencana Wirakarya in Agriculture in 2023 from President Joko Widodo; Pembangunan Daerah 2023 from Ministry of National Development Planning and Tim Pengendalian Inflasi Daerah (TPID) in province level in Kalimantan from the president. Besides, the program got copyrights certificate from Ministry of Legal and Human Resource.
The program keeps developing and showing that the success of agriculture and livestock sectors for sustainable food security in this country. (P2)
