PALMOILMAGAZINE, PAREPARE – Parepare Customs has resumed facilitating palm oil commodity exports through the Belang-Belang Port in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province. This time, PT Jambi Semesta Biomassa exported 10,002.15 metric tons of palm kernel shells to Japan on Wednesday, January 8.
Earlier, on Monday, January 6, Parepare Customs also provided export services for 5,194 metric tons of palm kernel expeller to South Korea. Within just two days, Parepare Customs demonstrated its significant role in supporting palm oil commodity exports.
The export of palm kernel shells to Japan generated export duties amounting to IDR 1,620,949,000, while export earnings reached USD 960,260.40. Additionally, palm oil levy revenue totaled IDR 486,285,000, highlighting the substantial economic potential of palm oil derivative exports.

Dawny Marbagio, Head of Parepare Customs, expressed optimism about the export activities at the beginning of 2025, stating that they signify a positive start for the year’s export growth. “The vibrant export activity at the start of this year is a positive signal for export activities throughout 2025,” Dawny said, as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com from Tribunnews on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Dawny further emphasized the agency’s commitment to improving assistance and support to sustain the export of these key commodities. “By enhancing export assistance and continuously improving our export services, we aim to boost the export of palm oil derivatives, considering the immense market potential,” he stated.
