The forum featured two comprehensive sessions. The first session, directed at upper management, focused on the latest innovations in sustainable agriculture, such as WEED Solut-ioN®️ (WS) technology. WS is a reductant solution developed by PAI that has received an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and is designed to significantly reduce pesticide use and environmental impact, in line with PAI’s commitment to sustainable farming.
The second session was a training for field officers and sprayers, providing valuable insights on safe and responsible spraying techniques. The goal was to minimize the environmental impact of spraying activities and ensure worker safety.
Sarimanah, Head of Department Sustainability Wilmar Region Kalimantan, did appreciate WEED Solut-ioN®️ technology that would support sustainability aspects in the company. “The product would be environmental, helping the workers’ health, and minimize carbon emission by minimizing herbicide application,” she said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com, Tuesday (17/9/2024). The technology would support the efforts of Wilmar to implement sustainable practices in plantation sector.
Back to Junia Anindya, she emphasized that PAI would be committed to support the sustainability goals with their partners, including Wilmar. “We would confirm that our innovation would really contribute to their plantations,” she said.
By the vision to create more sustainable agricultural sector, PAI would keep innovating to deliver solutions that would minimize the negative impacts from agricultural activities, and confirm the better future for the workers and environment. (P2)
