PALMOILMAGAZINE, SHANGHAI – Yoong Jun Hao, the General Manager of the Palm Oil Research and Technical Service Institute of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (Portsim), announced that the research institution has obtained accreditation from the Chinese government, specifically from the China National Accreditation Services (CNAS) and the China Inspection Body and Laboratory Mandatory Approval (CMA).
Established in 2005, Portsim operates as a branch of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board in China, with the objective of developing and expanding the Malaysian palm oil market in China. Additionally, Portsim provides technical support and consultancy services to related companies.
“This accreditation acknowledges the quality and standards of our laboratory, demonstrating our compliance with all relevant regulations in China,” Yoong Jun Hao stated, as reported by Bernama.

Yoong Jun Hao further elaborated that Portsim aims to continue its efforts in developing and supporting industries by expanding market penetration and adding value segments in China. This will be achieved through the trading of downstream products made from Malaysia’s palm oil, utilizing research and development initiatives and commerce strategies.
“By these, we would help our industry to get downstream segment and produce more additional value – products and would help to get our loyal customers in China and in the same time we would help our country to expand our palm oil markers,” he said. (T2)
