PALMOILMAGAZINE, PENAJAM PASER UTARA – The East Kalimantan Province Plantation Agency continues to reinforce smallholder groups to support a 40-hectare palm oil plantation in Sepan Village, Penajam Subdistrict, Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) Regency. The goal is to improve and measure group management to achieve all objectives.
Ence Ahmad Rafiddin, Head of the Plantation Agency for East Kalimantan Province, stated that 32 participants from the Kelompok Tani (Poktan) Pilar Jaya attended the training in Sepan Village hall.
The training aims to support palm oil plantation expansion, strengthen the groups, foster unity, and increase independence in cultivation.
“The training would be the start to get palm oil plantation expansion helps as the way to reinforce togetherness and the groups’ management capacity,” Dessy Susanti, the counselor of commodity development, said in the activity, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from Antara, Tuesday (30/7/2024).
The training managed sistem kebersamaan ekonomi dan manajemen kemitraan (SKE-MK) for about two days or since on 24 – 25 July 2024. The main focuses were about to escalate palm oil cultivation technic, change the cultivation, and escalate plantation productivity.
It was coordinated by Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian (BPP) Sub district of Penajam, with the speakers – Eko Susanto Fuzi from Plantation Agency Regency of PPU and Ainul Jihad, Petugas Penyuluh Lapangan (PPL) BPP Sub district of Penajam.
“We hope the training would encourage the smallholders to be more active and be more competitive in their products, escalate their life quality, and develop agricultural business sustainably,” Dessy said.
The training itself would be the significant thing to empower the agriculture in the Regency of PPU and it is hoped to realize palm oil cultivation revolution to escalate the production and productivity significantly. (P2)
