PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman attended the inauguration of the Central Executive Board of Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit PIR (ASPEKPIR Indonesia) at the Ministry of Agriculture Building on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
The event was followed by a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) on the Acceleration of PSR, SARPRAS, and the Acceleration of the Minister of Agriculture’s Program on Intercropping in PIR oil palm plantations. The resource persons came from BPDPKS, Directorate General of Plantations, Directorate General of Food Crops, GAPKI, and ASPEKPIR Indonesia.
In his speech, Minister Amran conveyed a message that ASPEKPIR can work together with palm oil associations to unite and jointly advance the palm oil industry in Indonesia. “We want to unite this, we have to be able to, first, appear as an example, appear better, so that we can survive, we can,” said Minister Amran, quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com who attended the event.

Indonesia needs a sustainable development program, not only to maintain and increase domestic palm oil production, but also to encourage acceleration in both the downstream and sustainable palm oil management aspects.
“Regarding our continued program, this country is already exporting, it must have reached self-sufficiency. Indonesia is rich in ideas, what is needed are ideas, action, consistency, and character,” Minister Amran added.
For information, the management of the Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit PIR (ASPEKPIR Indonesia) has held the first National Conference in Pekanbaru Riau on November 6, 2023 and Setiyono was elected Chairman of ASPEKPIR Indonesia for the period of 2023 – 2028. (T3)
