“As an orphan for about 15 years, I consider myself your elder, my young friends. There is no reason for you to lack aspirations. As long as you’re alive, opportunities abound,” he remarked in an official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com on Sunday (7/4/2024).

Hasibuan’s words served as a beacon of hope for the orphans who may have felt vulnerable or uncertain. He emphasized that the loss of a parent should not deter them from pursuing their dreams and aspirations.

Panti Asuhan Mamiyai Al Ittihadiyah did warmly welcome the participation of the students and palm oil millennial in the event. Ustad Rizal Harahap, the coordinator of Panti Asuhan Mamiyai was happy for them.

“Many students came here and saw the orphans but what we see today is uniformity and compactness in palm oil industries. We do appreciate your visit and thank for your presence here. Hopefully, your presence would be the motivation for the orphans to study more diligently,” Harahap said.

Chairman of HMJ BDP, Zaki Abdullah Najib told that the visit was the real proof and social spirit that the students of Institut Teknologi Sawit Indonesia have. “It is not about palm oil plantations only but we do care about our fellow, for we are social creatures,” he said.

The event was not about breaking the fast only but also did pray together with the orphans. It was ended by giving daily needs for the orphans as the support from the students and palm oil millennial for those who needed.

The collaboration between the two showed that palm oil industries focus not only business only but also play the roles to develop community, care about the environment. It is hoped, such activity would always be done to positively deliver impacts for the people. (T2)
