PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, announced his cabinet lineup for the next five years, appointing several new faces to ministerial roles. Among them is Dody Hanggodo, a businessman and commissioner of a palm oil company in East Kalimantan.
Dody Hanggodo serves as commissioner of PT Senabangun Anekapertiwi, a palm oil company established in 1995 that produces crude palm oil and crude palm kernel oil. He has held this position since 2019, according to the company’s 2020 financial report.
In 2022, PT Senabangun Anekapertiwi merged with PT Pradiksi Gunatama Tbk, which is owned by PT Araya Agro Lestari and PT Citra Agro Raya. Both companies are managed by the children of prominent Kalimantan businessman Samsudin Andi Arsyad, also known as Haji Isam.

As reported by Palmoilmagazine.com from Kompas on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Dody Hanggodo also has political ties. He is the son of Aushaf Fajr Herdiansyah, a Gerindra Party member who is running as vice-regent candidate for Nganjuk Regency alongside Muhammad Muhibbin Nur in the 2024 Regional Election.
Dody graduated his study in economy with M.PE (Magister Pendidikan Ekonomi) title. Even though being successful in business world, he was not too active in social media. He just got new Instagram account with the name @Dodyhanggodo in October 2024 after he was appointed as the minister in the Merah Putih Cabinet.
His first upload in the Instagram was with President Prabowo Subianto within black and white suit. He mentioned to be ready to serve in the cabinet of Prabowo-Gibran. He also said that he got the mandate to realize ‘the big vision of the 2024 – 2029 Merah Putih’ which is known as ‘Asta Cita’. He hoped that the account would be the media to get aspirations and inputs from the people.
Dody said that he was not too familiar with the social media but would be committed to open communication with the people through it.
Besides Dody, palm oil figure in the ‘Merah Putih’ is Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, as the Minister of Tourism. She is a successful woman in agribusiness sector and a wife of the Director of PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TPA), Wishnu Wardhana.
Her background in the business world and leadership should deliver the good news to develop tourism sectors in Indonesia namely by combining the approach in agribusiness and tourism.
As Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from the company’s information, Widiyanti got her career at PT Teladan Prima Agro (TPA). Since 2021, she has been the commissioner in the company. Before it, she was the director for about a decade or from 2012 to 2021. Her experiences at TPA covered up many strategic aspects, namely in agribusiness that became the main focus of the company. This would strongly be the basic for her roles as the leader to develop the related industries, including palm oil.
Besides her contribution at TPA, Widiyanti was also as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Teladan Resources, a group of company that got investment portfolio in many sectors, such as, agro, energy, oil and gas, property and media.
She got her title as Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California in 1993. She is active in social activities. Widiyanti leads Yayasan Teladan Utama and Yayasan Kawula Madani and as the General Secretary of Yayasan Jantung Indonesia in 2018-2024.
