PALMOILMAGAZINE, SOUTH TAPANULI – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri Siais (ANJAS), a palm oil plantation company and subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ), has distributed sustainably produced palm oil at a premium price to plasma smallholders in the Subdistrict of Angkola Selatan, District of South Tapanuli.
The distribution, totaling Rp 126,522,013, took place symbolically at the Club House ANJA Siais in South Tapanuli on November 14, 2023, and was handed over to a representative of Koperasi Tani Binasari.
This gesture serves as appreciation for the smallholders’ commitment to sustainable cultivation and practices under the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) scheme. The cooperation involves more than 80 members managing approximately 157.50 hectares.

General Manager ANJAS, Moh. Amrol Siregar said that Koperasi Tani Binasari was the first cooperation that got sustainable palm oil premium. “We hope that every smallholder in cooperation with our business unit would implement RSPO principles and criteria to get the same one,” Siregar said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com, Thursday (16/11/2023).
Vice Director of ANJ, Geetha Govindan said that the existence of ANJAS since 2005 has contributed in developing social economy, empowered the people around. This is proven by establishing partnership with the local people through Koperasi Tani Binasari.
“On behalf of management of ANJ Group, I am grateful for the achievement and it has something to do with the people, related stakeholders, and regional government of South Tapanuli,” Geetha said.
The ceremony was witnessed by Head of Trade, Cooperation, Small Medium Business District of South Tapanuli, Novita Sari Wahyuni; Rahmat Shaleh the representative of Agriculture Agency District of South Tapanuli; Dody Kurniawan as Head of Sub district of Angkola Selatan; Martua Siregar as the Head of Village of Pardomuan, and coordinators of Koperasi Tani Binasari.
