PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) received 31 awards at the 2024 Environmental and Social Innovation Award (ENSIA). These awards were earned through its four subsidiaries: PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM), PT Kayung Agro Lestari (KAL), PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri (ANJA), and PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri Siais (ANJAS). The awards ceremony took place in Bali at the end of July 2024.
ENSIA, an annual event organized by PT Sucofindo, aims to recognize companies that have made significant innovations in social and environmental sectors. This year, ENSIA 2024 saw participation from 756 submissions, with awards distributed across three categories: Efficient Energy, Emission Reduction, Efficient Water Use, Reduction of Dangerous and Toxic Materials (DTM) from non-DTM solid waste, Natural Conservation Protection, and Local Hero’s Inspiration.
Some main criteria in the assessment covered the lateness and unique of the programs, the impacts to environment, and contribution for the social welfare in the society. ANJ showed its commitment to maintain the balance among prosperity, people, and environment by having environmental innovation and people’s empowerment program.

Head of Environmental, Health & Safety ANJ, Burhanuddin said that the awards would be the real evidences of commitment of the company to realize sustainable development. “The awards would be the proofs of what we have done in environmental business practices that many have acknowledged – from carbon reduction to take advantages on renewable energy and environmental conservation program that involved the people. Everything would be part of our strategies to realize the balance among the prosperity, people, and environment,” Burhanuddin said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com, Saturday (10/8/2024).
He also mentioned the awards in the 2024 ENSIA reflected that ANJ would dedicate to conserve the environment and empower the local. The awards would motive the company to be committed to sustainability and responsibility socially. “We do believe that collaboration would be the key to create bigger changes, and hope that in the future there would be more companies that take part in environment conservation and people’s empowerment.
