Formed just eight months ago, Satgas PKH has already reclaimed 3.32 million hectares of forest land, far exceeding its initial target of 1 million hectares. Of this, 1.5 million hectares were handed over to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) for management, while 81,793 hectares were transferred to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry as part of the Tesso Nilo National Park.

The Ministry of Finance reported that reclaimed land from earlier phases carried an asset value of around Rp150 trillion. Beyond safeguarding valuable assets, the task force’s work has contributed significantly to state revenue. As of August 31, 2025, contributions included Rp325 billion in escrow deposits, Rp184.82 billion in tax payments, business contracts worth Rp2.34 trillion with a net profit of Rp1.32 trillion, and additional land and non-land taxes amounting to Rp1.21 trillion as of September 8, 2025.

The task force’s efforts are not limited to plantations. Satgas PKH also uncovered 4.26 million hectares of illegal mining activities operating without forest area permits (IPPKH). After verifying 51 companies, 14 were found eligible for state reclamation. Most recently, the task force seized land from two mining companies: PT Weda Bay Nickel in Central and East Halmahera, North Maluku (148.25 hectares) and PT Tonia Mitra Sejahtera in Bombana, Southeast Sulawesi (172.82 hectares). This brings the total reclaimed mining land to 321.07 hectares.

In an official statement released by Palmoilmagazine.com on Sunday (Nov 14, 2025), Satgas PKH Chief Executive Febrie Adriansyah, Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, highlighted that this achievement was made possible through inter-ministerial and inter-agency collaboration, involving local governments and law enforcement. He also underlined that the President’s decision to amend Government Regulation No. 24/2021 provided the legal foundation for calculating and enforcing administrative fines against corporate violators.

The Phase IV handover ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, who also chairs the task force, along with Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, BPKP Head Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), the Acting Deputy Attorney General, deputy ministers from SOEs and ATR/BPN, as well as senior officials from the TNI, National Police, and other related institutions.

With these results, Satgas PKH continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to eradicating illegal forest and mining land control while ensuring that natural resources are managed fairly, transparently, and sustainably. (P2)
