PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer recorded at IDR 14,008/kg on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
This represents a 1.05% decrease or a reduction of approximately IDR 149/kg compared to Tuesday’s price of IDR 14,157/kg.
According to KPBN data shared with Palmoilmagazine.com:
- Dumai: CPO price opened at IDR 14,069/kg, followed by a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid at IDR 14,008/kg.
- Teluk Bayur: Opened at IDR 13,939/kg, with a withdrawal (WD) and the highest bid at IDR 13,850/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, Malaysian palm oil futures prices fell on Wednesday, reversing earlier gains due to concerns over export demand and uncertainty surrounding Indonesia’s biodiesel mandate.
The March 2025 palm oil futures contract (FCPOC3) on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange dropped by RM 32 per ton, or around 0.73%, to 4,333 ringgit (USD 963.53) per metric ton at the midday break.
A Kuala Lumpur-based trader noted that palm oil prices slid as the market continued to grapple with export issues.
